Quick Fire Blog Game

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.EVERYBODY PLAY! I want to see what memories are out there!

I remember how patient and kind you were to Kelsey during a period when it was very hard to do so.
I remember a really nice letter you wrote me.
And I of course remember the GHGS demo ;-).

Katy! There is so much to remember~I remember our friday swim trips to mercer and we lived it up skipping out from mark twain. We were so wild! A favorite memory is exercising/dancing in the autism room and cracking each other up about the most random things.

I don't know if you saw this but now I leave a memory about you, Mary.

I remember the first time we met when I volunteered in the classroom. You had pictures of two beautiful kids in your X-terra. I loved how proud of them you were. I identified with you when you told me you were an art history major. and... shhhh!-(I liked you instantaneously). There is another reason I identified with you but I can't remember when we first exchanged our "Men" stories. Can you believe that was nearly 6 years ago?

hmmm...riding around in your stormy with the top down and our shirts off...bring crazy teenage freaks...trying to get the truckers to honk. (I think we might have been driving back from the outlet mall). I think we were like 17. That would mean we did that almost 16 years ago. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I'm old!!!!!!!!

Sarah-
My favorite memory of you-
When we drove to Omaha and wrote poems all the way there and back and made a book from them...
NISHNABOTNA!
That was prime Katy and Sarah time.
Also, the pistachios.
Most recently- when we were driving to the falafel house (hadn't spoken in years) and I told you that being an depressed alchoholic suited you. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

JR- I'm going to leave one about you too! and I'm going to make it short...

And really-
It was an era as you know.
But it involved these words:

Boots
Eurotrash
Wine
Gin and tonic
Food (Andy's home made cheese and hummus)
Lotion *I know you were waiting for that one.
Dogwalks - crappacinos

Get the picture?

One of my memories of you was coming to Iowa to visit with the boys and we went to see a play you were involved with - I believe you had worked on the set. You came out to talk to us either before or after the production. I can't remember what the play was, but I remember how happy you were. My experiences prior to that where in a crowd of cousins and you often stayed in the background. Another memory I have is of your glorious smile. For Carl and David I think a new memory was made when you danced to "Brick S____ House." at Liz's wedding

Remember when you came out to California for a visit and Mom and Shelly took us to Hollywood. We ate at Ed Debevick's and saw a guy dressed up in black leotard and tutu with a boombox on his shoulder dancing. We thought that was so outlandish then, little did we know...

Rissa- You are awesome for remembering that!
I still have the drive by photo I took. I think we also saw a naked guy posing in a window in Hollywood on that trip.
We always had SO much fun. It's a shame how akward teenage years are. I think I stopped knowing how to talk to family when I became a teenager and started worrying how people perceived me.

My memory of rissa!
I love remembering (however faintly) what it was like visiting Grandma and Grandpa Obert in Florida. We would usually pal up and goof around. Remember how our parents dressed us all in matching Disney T-shirts? I think I thought you were my best friend on those trips while I was there.
